Square Off Season 13 Wild Card Contenders
by Square Off: The Firm Debates
In a Facebook poll of 3,944 respondents, 36.8% chose “DE LA SALLE UNIVERSITY”. How we count
Tarlac State ran the board for five straight days, its lead shrinking from 48% to 36% but never gone — a Wildcat crowd that looked unbeatable. De La Salle wasn't even in the top two until day 5. Then it broke through: a day-6 surge, a day-7 flood of votes that flipped the standings 29% to Tarlac State's face, and the race was over before day 8 opened.
DLSU closed at 1,450 votes (36.8%) to Tarlac State's 1,024 (26%), a 426-vote gap built almost entirely in the final 48 hours. The Philippines and the U.S. — the poll's two biggest vote blocs — are exactly where that late swing landed; smaller pockets like the UAE, UK and Canada stayed loyal to Tarlac State to the end.
- Day 7 Flip · Lead changed hands for the only time on day 7 of 8.
- Late Bloomer · De La Salle was absent from the top two through day 4.
- Home Turf Decided It · Philippines and U.S. votes swung DLSU; smaller countries stuck with Tarlac State.
