For three straight days the same reporter held first place, once by a comfortable 26-point margin. Then day 4 arrived and the field flipped: a rival surged into the lead, 33% to the former leader's share, with just one day of voting left to answer back.
The chase never closed. The new leader stretched the margin to 39% by the finish, closing at 1,822 votes to 1,262 — a 12-point final gap built almost entirely in the last 48 hours of a 5-day poll.
