Ninety-six acts split 4,641 votes so thin that BIANCOSPINO topped the bill with just 11.9% of the total — barely one vote in nine. For five straight days ERONOTTE held a clear lead over BIANCOSPINO, still up by double digits heading into the final day. Then the order flipped, and BIANCOSPINO closed 12 points ahead.
The winning coalition wasn't local. Italy cast the single largest bloc of votes on the poll and leaned toward Filippo Nicolai, not BIANCOSPINO — while Bangladesh's 377 votes and Malaysia's 130 broke overwhelmingly for the eventual winner. A slot on the LARGO VENUE stage went to the act the host country didn't actually pick.
