Player of Round 2 - VELUX EHF Champions League

Momir Ilic and Jonas Källmann spent the first three days trading the top spot, Hungary's bloc pushing Ilic ahead early before Källmann's surge flipped it by day 2. Ilic reclaimed the lead on day 4 and held it to the finish, closing at 38.6% on the strength of 1,145 Hungarian votes.

The real threat was never Källmann. Janko Bozovic sat quietly in second for most of the race, then a 365-vote wave out of Bangladesh dragged him to within 1.3 points at the wire — 1,108 votes to Ilic's 1,148. Källmann, the man who'd actually led twice, finished third with barely a fifth of the vote.

• Photo finish · 1,148 to 1,108 — a 40-vote gap decided it.
• Stealth runner-up · Bozovic never led once, yet nearly stole it late.
• Home bloc · Hungary's 1,145 votes anchored Ilic from day one.
• Faded frontrunner · Källmann led days 2-3, finished third with 22%.
