Amanuel Gebremichael lost the lead on day 2, took it back by day 3, and from there the poll stopped moving. His margin over Amanuel Yohannes hit 41% by day 5 and drifted to just 43% by day 20 — a two-point wobble stretched across three-quarters of the poll's life. Everything that mattered here happened in 72 hours.

1,422 votes to 1,086 at the finish, with Abdulkerim Mohammed a distant third at 11.9% — never close enough to matter. Kuwait alone supplied 228 votes and broke hard for Gebremichael, and every top country but the UAE followed the same lean, so the geography settled with the standings.

• Frozen margin · Lead held at 41-43% from day 5 clear through day 20
• Early flip, fast fix · FM8 grabbed the lead day 2, lost it again by day 3
• Kuwait's tilt · 228 Kuwait votes broke heavily for the eventual winner
• No real third place · Abdulkerim Mohammed stalled at 11.9%, 31 points off the lead
