MUTYA ng BALAYAN 2016 People's Choice Award

In a Facebook poll of 4,824 respondents, 26.8% chose “Mutya No.10 SHEREEN De Guzman YOUSOEF Brgy. Durungao”. How we count
Fifteen names split this field so thin that Brgy. Durungao's Shereen closed the winner with just 26.8% — a plurality, not a mandate, with nearly three in four voters backing someone else. Cuatro's Mitzi trailed at 19.1%, then the pack thins out fast: Gimalas's Janina and Dalig's Renzie both sat near 8%, down to Magabe's Kimberly at 0.9%.
The real contest lasted six days. Durungao opened with a 16-point lead, Cuatro snatched it away by day 5 with a 14-point edge of her own, and Durungao answered right back on day 6. From there the margin only widened, settling near 27% and holding there, unchanged, for three straight weeks. Overseas votes split on different lines too: Italy favored Cuatro, Taiwan favored Gimalas, while the Philippines anchored Durungao's win.
- Plurality, not majority · The winner closed with just 26.8% across 15 options.
- Two flips, then silence · The lead changed twice by day 6, never again in 21 days.
- Diaspora splits differently · Italy leaned Cuatro, Taiwan leaned Gimalas, Philippines drove Durungao's win.
