In a Facebook poll of 3,635 respondents, 60.9% chose “Yes”. How we count
Yes opened at 75% and never dipped under 60% across 47 days — the widest margin any late surge could have realistically closed. The only real movement was erosion: a 13-point bleed to No between day 15 and day 25, then a hard floor at 61% for the poll's final three weeks, untouched through 3,635 total votes.
The coalition was lopsided in every direction that matters: men outvoted women roughly 2-to-1 on both sides, and Egypt anchored Yes almost single-handedly against a scattering of Gulf and European votes leaning No. This wasn't a swing audience finding consensus — it was one bloc showing up bigger, everywhere, from the first day.
- Day-1 ceiling · Yes opened at 75% — its highest point of the entire poll
- Mid-poll erosion · No clawed 13 points back between day 15 and day 25
- Late-stage floor · Margin froze at 61-39 for the final three weeks straight
- Gender split · Men outnumbered women roughly 2-to-1 on both Yes and No
