The '70 Camaro Z28 opened with a perfect start, taking 100% of day-one votes. It didn't last: the Chevelle SS 454 seized the lead on day 2 and held it through day 5, before the '69 Charger R/T HEMI stormed past on day 6 and never let go — stretching its margin to a commanding 39% lead by day 25 and cruising home with 1,480 votes.
But the real winner snuck up from behind. The '78 Firebird Trans Am never once led a single day of the standings — yet it out-polled everyone at the finish, 1,710 votes to the Charger's 1,480, a late, steady surge that overturned six weeks of Charger dominance in the final count. Men cast the votes almost unanimously here, with the Charger drawing 47 male voters to just 1 female.
