In a Facebook poll of 2,676 respondents, 65.5% chose “No”. How we count
2,676 people weighed in on the constitutional amendments, and the verdict barely moved: No opened at 68% on day one and was still at 66% deep into the poll's life, closing at 65.5% (1,754 votes) to Yes's 34.5% (922). Across 180 days, No's share never once slipped below 66% — a margin this steady, on a question this loaded, is the real story.
The rejection wasn't uniform. Among women, 73% went No versus 63% of men — the amendments lost harder with female voters than male ones. Geography split too: Egypt and the United States, the poll's two biggest vote sources by far, both leaned No, while smaller pockets in Saudi Arabia, Italy, Qatar and Australia leaned Yes.
- Six-month margin · No's share never dropped below 66% across 180 days
- Gender gap · Women broke against the amendments harder than men, 73% to 63%
- Biggest blocs agreed · Egypt and the US, the top two countries, both leaned No
- Smaller pockets diverged · Saudi Arabia, Italy, Qatar and Australia each leaned Yes
